Several years before establishing North Houston Church, Pastor Castle was part of a local church as an Elder and Minister of Music. He was licensed in 1992 and ordained in 1993 by that church.
While serving there, he began to understand clearly the call of God on his life to pastor.
After receiving Godly counsel from the late Pastor Thomas Johnson of Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ, who instructed him, "That God was going to take you up the stairway, not the elevator." So that "God would have you better prepared for the top when you get there."

Pastor Castle then sought though prayer, fasting, and consecration to God for about two years before he moved into the pastorate position.
On Sunday, July 7, 1996, at the Marriott North Hotel, North Houston Church held its first service with Pastor Castle boldly proclaiming the Word of God.
North Houston Church continues to grow in God and is committed to His Word, His Will, and His Way as we do His work.
